Authorship Criteria

INTERACTION: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa requires authorship to accurately reflect each individual’s contribution to the research and manuscript. To qualify as an author, a contributor must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Make a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, or to the collection, analysis, or interpretation of data.

  2. Draft the manuscript or revise it critically for important intellectual content.

  3. Approve the final version to be published.

  4. Agree to be accountable for their contribution and cooperate in resolving questions concerning the accuracy or integrity of the work.

Contributors who do not meet all authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately, with their permission. Funding acquisition, administrative support, general supervision, or language editing alone does not qualify an individual for authorship. Guest, gift, and ghost authorship are unacceptable.

The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal, providing accurate author information, and ensuring that all listed authors approve the manuscript, author order, and submission. The order of authors must be agreed upon collectively before submission. Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must include a clear explanation and written agreement from all affected authors, including any author being added or removed. Changes require editorial approval. Changes after publication may require a formal correction.

Authorship disputes must be resolved by the authors and, where necessary, their institutions. The journal may suspend manuscript processing while a dispute remains unresolved. These procedures are guided by the COPE Core Practicesand the journal’s Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
