Frasa: Jurnal Keilmuan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved in the publishing process — authors, editors, and reviewers — are expected to understand and fulfil the responsibilities set out below.

A

Responsibilities of Authors

  1. Authors must present the results of their research or ideas clearly and honestly, without plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data, and prepare the manuscript according to the latest Frasa template.
  2. Authors are fully responsible for the content and every claim made in the submitted manuscript.
  3. Authors must ensure that the manuscript is original, free from plagiarism, and has not been published, or is not under consideration, in any other journal or publication.
  4. Authors must properly cite and reference all ideas, data, and works of others used in the manuscript.
  5. Authors must write ethically, honestly, and responsibly, in accordance with the applicable rules of scientific authorship. Everyone listed as an author must have made a significant contribution to the work.
  6. Authors must not submit or publish the same manuscript in more than one journal or publication simultaneously.
  7. Authors must disclose any source of funding and any potential conflict of interest, and declare the use of generative AI tools in line with the AI Statement.
  8. Authors must respond to reviewers' comments and revise the manuscript within the time limit set by the editor.
  9. Authors agree that the manuscript may be edited for language and format without changing its substance or main ideas.
  10. If authors discover a significant error in their published article, they must promptly notify the editor and cooperate to correct or retract it.
E

Responsibilities of Editors

  1. The editor is responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts are published, based on the results of peer review and the editorial board meeting.
  2. The editor follows the policies of the Frasa editorial board and is bound by applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
  3. The editor evaluates every manuscript fairly and equally, based solely on its intellectual content, without regard to the authors' ethnicity, religion, race, gender, nationality, institution, or political views.
  4. The editor and editorial team will not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the authors, reviewers, and publisher, unless permitted by the authors.
  5. The editor screens every submission for similarity in accordance with the plagiarism screening policy.
  6. Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the authors. Editors must withdraw from handling any manuscript in which they have a conflict of interest.
  7. Eligible manuscripts within the scope of Frasa that cannot be included in the current issue will be scheduled for publication in the next issue.
  8. Manuscripts outside the focus and scope of Frasa will be returned to the authors.
  9. The editor will take appropriate action when ethical complaints are raised, including issuing corrections or retractions where necessary.

  1. Reviewers assist the editor in making editorial decisions and help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts.
  2. Reviewers are responsible for the recommendations they give on the manuscripts they review.
  3. Reviews must be conducted objectively and supported by clear arguments. Personal criticism of the authors is inappropriate.
  4. Reviewers must check the accuracy of citations and references and inform the editor of any suspected plagiarism or substantial similarity with other published works.
  5. Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use any information from them for personal gain.
  6. Reviewers must decline to review, or notify the editor, if they have a conflict of interest with the authors, institutions, or content of the manuscript.
  7. Reviewers who feel unqualified to review a manuscript, or who cannot complete the review on time, must notify the editor promptly.
