Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to Frasa: Jurnal Keilmuan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya goes through a double-blind peer review process: the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review.

Initial Editorial Screening

The Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor checks each submission for fit with the focus and scope, compliance with the author guidelines and template, and originality through a similarity check. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements are returned to the authors without external review.

Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that pass screening are assigned to at least two reviewers from the journal's reviewer board. When specialized expertise is needed, the editor may invite external reviewers.

Double-Blind Review

Reviewers assess the manuscript's originality, methodological soundness, clarity, and contribution to the field, and provide written feedback. Reviews are expected to be completed within 2–4 weeks. Each reviewer recommends one of the following:

Editorial Decision

The handling editor makes the final decision based on the reviewers' recommendations. If the recommendations differ significantly, the editor may consult an additional reviewer.

Revision and Resubmission

Authors revise the manuscript according to the reviewers' comments and resubmit it by the deadline set by the editor. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for verification.

Final Decision and Production

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and layout, and are then scheduled for publication in an upcoming issue.

Reviewer integrity. Reviewers must declare any conflict of interest and must not use generative AI tools to analyze, evaluate, or draft review comments, in line with the journal's AI Statement.
