Article Processing Charges (APC)

Frasa: Jurnal Keilmuan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Pengajarannya is an open-access journal. All published articles are freely available to readers without subscription or access fees. To cover the costs of editorial handling, peer review management, copyediting, layout, DOI registration, and online hosting, the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) to authors of accepted manuscripts.

What the APC Covers

  • Editorial management and the peer review process
  • Similarity (plagiarism) screening
  • Copyediting, proofreading, and article layout
  • Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registration
  • Permanent online hosting, archiving, and indexing
  • Letter of Acceptance (LoA) and electronic certificate of publication

The APC does not include printed copies. Authors who wish to obtain a printed edition may refer to the Hardcopy Order page.

3

Editorial Independence

  1. Payment of the APC has no influence on editorial decisions. Every manuscript is evaluated solely on its scientific merit through the peer review process.
  2. Invoices are issued only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. Authors are never asked to pay before or during peer review.
  3. Editors and reviewers are not involved in fee collection and are not informed of authors' payment or waiver status.
4

Payment Procedure

  1. After acceptance, the corresponding author receives an invoice and payment instructions by email.
  2. Payment must be made within 7 days of receiving the invoice. Articles are scheduled for publication only after payment has been confirmed.
  3. Payment is made by bank transfer to the official journal account:
    Bank: Bank Mandiri
    Account number: 1600005534272
    Account holder: ADI IWAN HERMAWAN
    SWIFT code (international transfers): BMRIIDJA
  4. Send proof of payment, together with the manuscript ID and article title, through the journal contact page or WhatsApp +62 813-2197-9684.
  5. International authors bear any bank transfer charges so that the full APC amount is received by the journal.

Beware of fraud: Frasa only accepts payment to the account listed above and only after official acceptance. The journal never requests payment to any other account or through unofficial contacts.

5

Waiver Policy

Frasa does not want financial limitations to prevent the publication of quality research. A full or partial waiver may be granted to:

  • Authors from low-income countries, as classified by the World Bank
  • Authors facing demonstrable financial hardship and without research funding
  • Articles invited by the editorial board

Waiver requests must be submitted to the editor in chief at the time of submission, with a brief explanation. Requests made after acceptance will not normally be considered. Each request is assessed individually, and the decision is made by the editor in chief, separately from the editorial decision on the manuscript.

6

Withdrawal and Refund

  1. Authors may withdraw a manuscript free of charge at any stage before acceptance.
  2. If a paid article is withdrawn by the authors before publication, the APC is not refundable, as editorial work has already been completed.
  3. If the journal is unable to publish an accepted and paid article for reasons attributable to the journal, the APC will be refunded in full.
  4. No refund is given for articles retracted after publication due to research or publication misconduct (see Retraction).
