Permainan Estafet Gunting Batu Kertas untuk Mengembangkan Kemampuan Afektif Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
This study aims to develop the affective abilities of elementary school students through the relay rock–paper–scissors game as a fun and interactive learning strategy. The affective domain developed includes five aspects based on Krathwohl’s taxonomy, namely receiving, responding, valuing, organization, and characterization. The study employed a quasi-experimental one-group behavioral checklist design with six fourth-grade students from MI Muhammadiyah 1 SP 1 aged 9–10 years who were selected randomly. The intervention was carried out in three game sessions, and measurements of affective abilities were conducted before and after the intervention. The results showed an increase in affective scores among most participants, with the mean score rising from 13.00 in the pretest to 14.67 in the posttest. All students were in the high category after the intervention. These findings indicate that the relay rock–paper–scissors game has the potential to strengthen students’ positive attitudes, such as sportsmanship, cooperation, responsibility, and emotional regulation. However, limitations of the study, including the small number of participants and the absence of a control group, should be considered when interpreting the results. Overall, this simple educational game may serve as a relevant and child-friendly social–emotional learning strategy for use in elementary schools
