The Contribution of Organizational Culture in Driving Readiness for Change
Kontribusi Budaya Organisasi dalam Mendorong Kesiapan untuk Berubah
Abstract
Changes in public organizations are becoming increasingly important because society expects more responsive, transparent, and adaptable services. However, the success of this change depends not only on new policies or structures, but also on how ready employees are to accept the change. This study was conducted to analyze how organizational culture influences employees' readiness to change in public organizations. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey design and involves 225 employees, who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument assesses organizational culture and readiness for change, using simple linear regression analysis. The findings of this study reveal a positive and significant impact of organizational culture on employee readiness for change. Consequently, stronger organizational values, norms, and practices are correlated with employee readiness for transformation. This result underscores the importance of fostering a culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and openness as essential elements in ensuring the success of reforms within public organizations. Building an adaptive culture is crucial for fostering change readiness and enhancing the effectiveness of organizational transformation.
