Abstract

Strengthening national awareness in education is a crucial aspect of shaping a young generation with strong character, especially in the era of globalization and digitalization. This study aims to enhance students' understanding of national values through interactive learning methods at SMA Negeri 1 Tambrauw, Southwest Papua. This community service program employs a participatory and collaborative approach, involving educators, students, and local communities. Activities include lectures, group discussions, training, and the utilization of digital media alongside local wisdom. The results show an improvement in students’ understanding of national awareness and a heightened sense of nationalism in addressing globalization challenges. Evaluation through questionnaires and interviews indicates the effectiveness of this method in character-building. Therefore, continuous efforts are needed to integrate national awareness into the school curriculum with the support of technology and other innovative approaches.
